we apologize… we had some design decisions to make. We have a search field up there now. What were you looking for, what can we help you with?

I live on the Pacific Ocean side of the planet, California to be exact. Could this app be modified to find whales while you are on shore.
I live on the Pacific Ocean side of the planet, California to be exact. Could this app be modified to find whales while you are on shore. Humpback whales migrate from Mexico to Alaska, it would be nice and cool if you could track whales while on shore from an IPad using tech software and NOAA satellites. Could it be available to the public in some near future update?

Hi Steve,
The quick answer is that we’re working with various agencies and sanctuaries to expande the coverage of the Whale Alert app. More details coming up in the coming weeks!
Kind Regards,
Brad

Agreed. We’re thinking about how best to incorporate that in both the Online Viewer and the Mobile Apps.

Lake of the Woods, ONTARIO Coverage?
By looking at the zoomed out view of the Online Viewer, it looks like the Lake of the Woods is covered, but when I zoom in, I do not see any bathymetrics. Do you indeed cover the LOW?

Where is Canada???
I am most attracted to your app of all I've looked at. But I will be on Canadian west coast as well as US West coast.

We are in active licensing discussions with CHS. Fingers crossed this happens sooner, rather than later.

Integrate the 'Active Captain' program into the EarthNC software.
Take a look at the Active captain website to see what it is and how it works, there are already a few other charting programs that have taken advantage of integration.

Support for RayMarine SeaTalk? I know there are adapter that convert them to NMEA 0183.
Support for RayMarine SeaTalk/NMEA0183? A few of us on the Sailboatowner.com AskAllSailors forum have been talking about streamlining our electronics configurations and going to tablets with WiFi. I have your product on my cell phone which is awesome, but the display is a bit small for me. I know there are adapter that convert SeaTalk (the protocol that Raymarine uses for my wind, depth and speed log instruments. Raymarine has a SeaTalk to NMEA 0183 adapter, but then there would need to be a method for displaying data from those instruments as well as from my rudder angle indicator.

Provide the same Google Earth overlay (Hybrid Charts) on the mobile apps that you have for the online viewer
Currently the online viewer has the ability to show a hybrid view that includes both the chart as well as google earth. This would be extremely helpful on the mobile app.

Cached Google Satellite maps in the Android app.
Its easier to see some narrow or unmarked channels when you can see the water color changes on those images. Very helpful when flats fishing. Would be great even if its not overlaid with NOAA map data.

Not sure why our user docs are disappearing after 10 minutes. Can you describe the situation further. In the meantime, we’ve tried user-supported wiki docs and we found ourselves doing more editing than just creating the docs in the first place. A shabby excuse, but sometimes its better to simply do it oneself. We’ll keep at improving it. FYI, the docs should always be present in the phone / ipad / android device so let us know what’s happening there.

The indicated speed readout on my software is way off (I.e., way too fast).

We agree. Canada does not make it easy because of cost and encryption requirements, but we’re hoping to get to it this summer.

Provide a KMZ file that can be ran offline
It would be nice if I could take the earthnc kmz file offline, so that when I am out on the water with my laptop I can still view the earthnc data
